Today @ work #230714

Hallo an alle, ich habe schon ein wenig beschäftigt seit Anfang der Woche, daher meine Abwesenheit hier.
Just in case you don't understand what you just read, Google translator is your friend.

I created a new floor for my kitchen designs, it is actually easier dragging and dropping items than creating a new one all the time, in case you have noticed me using the same type of floor tiles. But you know, no two designs can be the same thing, there has to be something different, before all my kitchens starts to look alike.

Back to the business of today.

Palette Cad Installation and Training

One CAD program with so many benefits.
Hello everyone, i just discovered a toy (software) that i have been searching for over two years! can you believe that, trust me people this is not the regular interior designing software you see on the streets. Although i have been designing with this application since mid 2012, and i have never been able to get my own copy of the installation file. God made things beautiful as always and i got it on Monday!

So here we are: Introducing the most efficient interior designing software, PaletteCad !

We all know that one major constraint in this business is Time! From the moment you take measurements and get your clients brief, the client will be anticipating to see the 3D of the brief. The regular interior design softwares (Google Sketchup, Revit, 3D max, Archi Cad, AutoCad 3D et al) can not solve the problem of this constraint in creating bespoke designs with high-quality presentations and outstanding representations at a limited time.

With Palette CAD, you can design two to three times faster than with conventional methods and save up to 90% of your work preparation time.

Palette CAD is designed to make everything easier so that you can concentrate on one thing and one thing only: your job. More specifically, it comes packed with incredible features and an intuitive ease of use that let you focus on what you want instead of on figuring out how to do it.

A revolutionary interface design, innovative user guidance, a wealth of improved and new features, and the knowledge that your customers and prospective buyers will spend days on end wondering how you achieved such stunning results.

Specifically developed for contractors and medium-sized specialist companies, Palette CAD is sure to be of interest to anyone who wants to design more quickly, better and more successfully yet with little effort. Palette CAD closes the gap between simple, inflexible, off-the-shelf design programs and highly specialized, ultra-complex CAD applications.  And that's why it's the ideal alternative.

The benefits of Palette CAD at a glance:

Palette CAD is intuitive to operate. You will have created your first design after only a few hours.
With Palette CAD, you can design two to three times faster than with conventional methods and save up to 90% of your work preparation time.

But the best thing of all is: Palette CAD is open.  You can input, photograph or design individual objects yourself.
Within your sector-specific package, you will find all the products, materials and tools that you need for your work.

With high-quality presentations and outstanding representations, you can produce successful quotations, achieve better orders and gain more satisfied customers.

With Palette CAD, you can automatically create detailed, accurately dimensioned manufacturing drawings and bills of materials.

If you like, integrate Palette CAD seamlessly into the control system for your CNC machines and your commercial management system.

I have designed 3 different packages, contact me and we will discuss which one suits you or your company.

Google Sketchup the life changer, continued

Kitchen in 3D
After about an hour, I finished downloading the software, my phone battery was so hot then it could boil noddles. I quickly rushed home transferred the software from my phone to my laptop and installed it.

With no sort of manual or trainer, i started using the the software on my own, i basically trained myself. With sleepless nights designing and reading on how to utilize the software to it's full potential, i grew into it.

After using Google sketchup for over a year, it was evident that there was nothing i cant draw as long as i can imagine how it looks like. I draw with so much precision and details that it awes my colleagues and boss then, their praises i use as grease to rub my burning elbows while i forge ahead in my conquest of ruling my world.

Teenagers Room in 3D

Switched coy in mid 2012. Moved to a greener pasture, you know when the grass is greener, the effort to mow will be tougher! I got the job through Google Sketchup. Although the Cad they are familiar with was Palette Cad, I bought my way in through what I had mastered over two years.

During my time at the new company, i did various designs which included kitchen, bedroom, hotel and office furniture.

Every time I look back and remember that fateful day that I downloaded the software that changed my life, I can not but smile and be grateful to God.

Enough about my boring self! I have switched app now though, but Google Sketchup will forever be my first love.

Below are few of my designs using Google Sketchup.

I Thought You Knew (Does it really matter?.....)

In this weeks edition of 'I Thought You Knew' we will be discussing some stories in the Bible that were usually misread or retold to make it perfect. Have it in mind that these stories does not really change any thing. At the end of it all, ask yourself this question... Does it really matter?.......
  • Adam and Eve
Contrary to popular belief, Adam and Eve were expelled from Eden not because they ate the forbidden fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, but in order to prevent them from eating from the tree of life (both forbidden trees are in Genesis 2:9) which would have made them eternal. God doesn't like competition! Here is the verse (Genesis 3:22-23): “And he said: Behold Adam is become as one of us, knowing good and evil: now, therefore, lest perhaps he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever. [23] And the Lord God sent him out of the paradise of pleasure, to till the earth from which he was taken.”

    Does it really matter?.......
    • Brothers Keeper
Another quote we all know from the Bible is “Am I my brother’s keeper?” Now ask yourself – do you know what God’s answer was to this question? You don’t – no one does because the Bible doesn't tell us what He replied. If God were to have answered, we can presume it would have been in the affirmative if all of the other commands to look after our brothers in the New Testament are taken into consideration.

    Does it really matter?.......
    • Samson and Delilah
Samson and Delilah is a famous story from the Old Testament which ends rather badly, as Samson’s long hair is cut short to destroy his strength. The common misconception is that Delilah was the one to give him the chop – a kind of ancient bobbit if you will. But in fact, it was Delilah’s servant who did it. (Judges 16 vs 19)

    Does it really matter?.......

    • Rapture
The “Rapture” is not in the Bible! Despite being believed by a large number of protestants (many of whom also believe that only that which is in the Bible can be true) it was actually invented in the 1600s by one Cotton Mather – otherwise famous for murdering women by strangling them to death (by hanging) in the Salem witch trials. The term in the Bible commonly mistranslated to the word “rapture” actually comes from the Greek ἁρπάζω (harpazo) which actually means “caught up” or “taken away” and it refers to one person only (Philip).

    Does it really matter?.......

    • The Three Wise Men
There weren't three and they didn't visit Jesus in a manger. The Bible gives neither the number of men (but does the number of gifts as three, which is probably where this misconception stems from).

Additionally, Herod demanded the death of all boys under two, making it probable that Christ had been born up to two years prior. Also, the wise men visited Jesus when he lived in a house according to the Biblical account in Matthew 2 vs 11 and not in the manger.

    Does it really matter?.......

    To be continued next week.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

The death of the Dining Room

Dining room is actually a room designed to have the whole family come together and eat "Together" using the dining table.

I realize that the dining room is as good as dead. Architects of modern houses leave a space at the corner of the “living” room with the implication that if you are old-fashioned enough, you can take the trouble to squeeze a table and some chairs into it under the illusion that someone will actually use it for eating.

Yeah we still have dining room or dining section which ever you have in your home, but how well do we make use of the dining table?
Often, sometimes, frequently, once in a blue moon or during festive periods, yeah Christmas day or birthdays?

The traditional essence of having the whole family dine together is going into extinction due to various reasons.

I am going to point out two major reasons behind the slow death of our beloved dining room, they are:
    • Television.

You can just assume that laps, the coffee table, and television will combine to create a dining scene for the family. After all, who bothers to sit around a table especially if there is an opportunity to watch your favorite movie channels, music channels or soap opera (Telemundo, Game of thrones)? Yes, if anything is guilty of murdering the dining room, it is the family television.

In addition, there is increasing evidence that when we are distracted, we eat more. Our waistlines expand not because we are greedy, but because we just don’t notice how much we’re shoveling down.

"People who watch television while eating also tend to be unaware of how much they eat, which encourages overeating."

    Verdict: Guilty!

    • Social Media.

In fact the internet in general has caused more harm than good to the death of the dining room. The emergence of social networking is really a double edge sword and really does make us less social if we are not careful.

Social networking is making it much more unlikely for us to interact with people face-to-face. Even if you go out with your friends to a restaurant or bar, you will often see your friends on their cell phones connected to Facebook, Twitter, or other social media sites. People are becoming unable to connect with people in person and find it easier to connect with people virtually.

Even while sitting at the dining table with our family members, we still hold on to our gadgets pinging, tweeting or chatting with some virtual friends miles away.

    Verdict: Guilty!

The decline of the dining table is therefore no trivial matter. It marks a decline in the attention we pay both to other people and our food. There have been many campaigns to encourage people to eat better, based around ideas such as five-a-day, reduced fat and cooking more. Perhaps as much or more could be achieved simply by encouraging people to make sure they sit down at a table. Once they do that and so start paying attention to what they’re eating, maybe other desirable eating habits will follow naturally.

However, the best part of the dining room is the way it enables a family to be together, make eye contact, share the tears and triumphs of the day, and generally share “quality time” without even thinking about it.

I would like to read your views about the slow death of the dining room.
